Briefly does not collect or store any personally identifiable information from users. The extension processes the content of the currently active webpage only when the user explicitly requests a summary. This content is temporarily sent to an external API (OpenRouter) for summarization. No data is stored, shared, or used for tracking purposes. We do not use cookies, analytics, or any form of user tracking. All processing is done securely and only for the purpose of generating summaries.
